Today was opening day at Fenway and the Sox beat last year’s champs, the Tampa Bay Rays 5 to 3.  But the big news was that Senator Ted Kennedy threw the first pictch to Jim Rice.

Correction/Clarification:  the Rays were, of course, the American League victors.  The Phillies won the series.
